Fund Finance Manager (m/w/d)*

Our client is a global real estate fund manager with a 30-year track record and member of a group listed on the London Stock Exchange. The global platform has 17 offices in over 10 coun­tries worldwide and manages real estate portfolios valued at approximately 20 billion Euro. The company provides comprehensive real estate asset and fund management services in the form of individual mandates and fund solutions for a wide range of investors, including insurance com­pa­nies, pension funds, foundations and family offices. The Investment strategies range from core to opportunistic investments. Our client offers investors access to a wide range of real estate investment opportunities, either through direct or indirect routes. Our customer perfor­mance is driven by hands-on management, in-depth local knowledge and excellence in the exe­cution of all projects. Our client aims to deliver this with strong on-the-ground execution capabi­lities via offices and personnel in their chosen investment markets.

On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a Financial Specialist (Frankfurt and Munich), who will be responsible for all financial issues concerning two to three European real estate fund products working closely in dedicated fund teams with fund and asset managers.

Area of Responsibility

• First point of contact and responsibility for the supervision of financial related activities in real estate fund products

• Ensuring that all SPVs and all the fund finance related issues are appropriately managed

• In charge of managing the external accounting service providers and mana­ging the audit process of the real estate funds and investment structures

• Responsible for all financial reporting, including reviewing NAV calculations and monthly or quarterly unit prices prepared by external accountants

• Process and evaluate monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements (IFRS and local GAAP) for different real estate entities in different European jurisdictions

• Being responsible for organising and maintaining bank financings for transactions together with the Head of Treasury

• Supporting of / full responsibility for negotiating bank term sheets and structuring bank debt

• Participate in investor and board meetings, where required covering financial matters

• Assist with the preparation of investor drawdowns and distributions

• Working with external tax advisors and the Head of Tax on transaction tax structuring and ongoing monitoring

• Ensuring that all tax declarations are prepared in time and good quality by accountants or tax advisers

• Working alongside the Tax, Treasury, Corporate Secretary, Compliance, Inves­tor Relations and Business Development teams across the business

Job Profile

• Completed university studies in economy, with focus on accounting, finance or taxes

• Relevant professional experience with explicit experience in real estate funds

• Very good knowledge of Excel and competence with other Microsoft Office packages

• Good communication skills – excellent German and English language skills

• Team player and strong interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues from outside the financial sector, investors, banks and service providers

• Be self-motivated with a proactive attitude and be able to demonstrate this in interviews
