Senior Planner

Glasgow, Scotland

Are you a Chartered Town Planner looking to make a step-up in your career or perhaps an experienced Senior Planner seeking a new challenge? I am currently working with a leading national property consultancy as they look to build on this year's success with the hire of a Senior Planner. My client operates within a range of Town Planning sectors including residential, commercial, retail/leisure and education; in this capacity, you will be exposed to a blue-chip client base and be expected to provide astute commercial advice to all stakeholders of the business. Although you will be joining an established consultancy, the Town Planning team is very much in its infancy therefore a keen interest in business development/networking is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, monitoring and submitting planning applications.
  • Managing internal advisors and external consultant teams.
  • Negotiations on behalf of the client.
  • Business development
  • Liaising internally with colleagues and neighbouring offices.

The ideal Senior Planner will be MRTPI qualified and will have experience managing medium to large scale projects across my clients' key sectors; local knowledge of the region will also be advantageous. Candidates from both the private and public sector will be given full consideration as well as those relocating.

Package: Basic salary, discretionary bonus, pension, private medical insurance, 25 days annual leave
