Join a well-established and long-standing general practice firm based in a desirable city fringe location. The firm caters towards Chinese clients but also does work for clients from various ethnic backgrounds (including NZ'ers). Ideally you will have Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking abilities however this not a must.
This role involves varied general practice work with a property focus. Relevant experience includes residential and commercial property transactions, commercial lease drafting and negotiations, property financing/refinancing, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and related work.
The partners are well recognised for their work in NZ and have excellent networks within the NZ Chinese community. You'll be someone that will have supervision from partners so that you can further develop your legal skills but also be able to take ownership for the files you're working on.
The team culture is very down to earth and friendly. The staff have a weekly team lunch to debrief on files and discuss matters of interest. You'll have a car park on site and a decent work/life balance in this role.
