We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to work on behalf of an interesting property group operating across the Home Counties and the south coast. Though specialising in in the provision of a comprehensive residential property management service our client provides a range of property services and has a legal dept., surveying, property management and development arm.

As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with assisting in the businesses growth, reporting into the group's Managing Director. We are looking for an experienced property management professional who will have worked across both new build and existing block management markets. The role can be based out of a number of Home Counties locations although will involve a significant amount of travel, with the option to work from home when necessary.

Activities in the role will include but not be limited to:

* Management of all new business enquiries
* Coordination and preparation of management proposals and tender submissions and presenting these to potential clients
* Preparation of service charge budgets and management strategies for new build developments
* Liaison with solicitors re service charge structure for new build developments to ensure inclusion within lease
* Issue management agreements for new instructions and ensure these are completed and returned before management commences
* Liaise with clients over potential handover/management start dates
* Work closely with allocated Property Manager to effect a smooth handover
* Prepare, evaluate and provide accurate and up to date reports for monthly board meetings on expected fees and new business enquiries
* Liaison with Marketing Manager on any literature requirements and updates to the company website


* Immaculate personal presentation with a smart appearance and professional manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good negotiation and networking skills
* Computer literate with advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and similar packages
* Self-motivated with the ability to act on own initiative and individually or as part of a team
* A good understanding of leases and the legislation affecting the property management industry
* Experience of preparing service charge budgets for multi-sectored/scheduled schemes
* Excellent presentation skills and confidence when presenting to large groups of people and to owners of properties in prime London areas
